There are many options if it comes to traveling the world. We decides for the way we wanted and the duration of our travel that a drivable home on wheels would be the best way to go. After our Defender, we know that going off the roads will lead you to some Wonderfull spots in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature. With this in mind a 4×4 truck base or even 6×6 would be one of those things it needs to have.
Why a truck and nothing smaller? We thought of a sprinter 4×4 for a while. But wit prices for a good one wir low mileage your looking at €30.000. for the same money you get a truck, and the pod on the back. Buying new we cannot afford but building out self we can.
Our dream truck would have a small double cab, not like those German mercedes fire department trucks (those driver cabs are to long, and you wouldn’t get a living unit big enough on it) taking enough diesel with you to drive across the country’s where diesel expensive. With a truck like that you have the opportunity to stay in one spot for a few days or a even a week or 2 but you need the water and food for it.
