Three years ago we where looking for a car, at first something small to get from point A to point B. After a few deep conversations about it we decided it would be better for us to get something tougher that we could use for traveling and for towing trailers and the capacity to take a lot of equipment with is.
We had found a good candidate on Mobile.de, a German portal for selling cars, trucks & Rv’s. It’s a defender 130 Td5 from 2005 with at that moment 158.000Km on it. Needed some work but the price was good. The next few months we took the time to get those points checked of our list and had made some parts specially made. After the build proces we mounted a new set of custom rockslides and a Cargo Cage on the back that will give us the opportunity to haul loads on it, and a roof top tent if where going on a trip.
The same moment im writing this we have put our beloved dream car FOR SALE..!! Maybe i’s something we will regret soon or later. We have another dream and there fore we need something bigger!!
We got married and got a lovely baby girl Called Robyn. there for the Defender is a little bit small for what our intentions are in the next upcoming years. Where going for a offroad capable truck with camper unit on the back of it. More on that Later on!
